Frequently asked questions

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed by the platform store (Apple App Store or Google Play) and can always be cancelled directly there.

  • iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → LifeLines → Cancel Subscription
  • Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → LifeLines → Cancel

A direct in-app cancellation entry point is also available inside LifeLines at Profile → Manage Subscription → Cancel, in compliance with French Ordonnance n° 2026-2 of 5 January 2026 (Article L221-21 of the Code de la consommation). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; no further charges will be made after that date.

How do I request a refund?

Because in-app purchases are processed by Apple and Google, refunds are issued by them directly:

If a platform refund is declined and you believe the refusal is unjustified, contact support@parwanas.com with the receipt and we will review the case. See our Terms of Service §4 for the full refund and EU withdrawal-right policy.

How do I delete my account and data?

Inside LifeLines: Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Deletion erases your account record, your timelines, journal entries, workouts, body measurements, and any photos backed up to our servers. Local content on your device is removed when you uninstall the application.

If you cannot access the application — for example, you have already uninstalled it — email support@parwanas.com from the email address used to register, with the subject line "GDPR — Account deletion". We honour the request within 30 days per Article 17 of the GDPR.

How do I export my data?

LifeLines provides an in-app data export at Profile → Settings → Export my data. The export bundles your content in a structured, machine-readable format (JSON for structured data, the original file format for photos), delivered as a downloadable archive.

You can also request the export by email at contact@parwanas.com with the subject line "GDPR — DSAR". We respond within 30 days per Article 15 of the GDPR.

Where is my data stored?

Account credentials are handled by our authentication provider. Content you create (timelines, journal entries, workouts, body measurements, photos) is stored encrypted on your device. When optional cloud sync is enabled, an encrypted copy is kept on our backend infrastructure, which is hosted in France (EU). The full processor list and the legal basis for each transfer is set out in our Privacy Policy.

What if I disagree with a decision you've made?

First, write to support@parwanas.com so we can attempt to resolve the matter directly. If we cannot reach agreement, French consumers may refer the dispute free of charge to an approved médiateur de la consommation. The list of approved mediators is maintained by the CECMC at economie.gouv.fr/mediation-conso.

For data-protection complaints, you may also lodge a complaint with the French data-protection authority, the CNIL — cnil.fr.

I think I found a bug. How should I report it?

Email support@parwanas.com with: a short description of the issue, the steps to reproduce it, your device model and OS version, and the application version (visible in Profile → About). Screenshots help.

I think I found a security issue.

Please write to contact@parwanas.com with the subject line "Security", and do not disclose the details publicly until we have had a reasonable opportunity to investigate and mitigate. We acknowledge security reports within 5 business days.
